Pamper Thyself!

For health week this month, we are focusing our attention on self care. This got me thinking about all the beauty products and samples I have that I don't use. An impromptu search of my bathroom yielded a treasure trove!

This got me wondering about WHY I have so many great masks, lotions, scrubs, bath bombs and oils I NEVER use. I mean really, I LOVE this stuff! And I KNOW taking care of my skin makes me feel good .. so, why such a big pile of unused goodies?

My first answer was, I just don't seem to have the time. Like most first answers, this doesn't stand up to closer inspection. I work for myself and at home, my kids are grown and gone, and I watch an excessive amount of TV. All of this indicates that, in fact, I DO have time. The question is then, WHY don't I spend it pampering myself?!!

I can see (because my daughter pointed it out) that most of my leisure activities are about just unwinding and catching my breath at the end of a day or a week.

Pampering is a bit more. Pampering is about feeding the soul, it's about filling our cup vs just emptying it. So this week, I am going to practice BOTH, relax to empty my over crowded brain AND nurture my body and soul with some pampering.

This week's Goddess Living practice ... I invite you to join the fun!

This Week's Goddess Practice

Pamper Yourself

The picture above is what my two minute bathroom search for face masks yielded! I was scared to look for ALL the lotions and potions!

The assignment this week is to discover your bounty of beauty products and USE at least one of them to pamper yourself. Take your time, light some candles, play some Goddess music and ENJOY!!

If you don't have an abundance of unused beauty product gifts, samples or "it seemed like a good idea" purchases sitting around, treat yourself to some shopping! Buy something to pamper YOU!
