Health week is HERE! Recently we had a guest join us on Goddess Talk to share with us about our hormone health, it was fabulous. I thought we should keep the theme going, there is LOTS to learn on this topic.
We don't need people to tell us women's health can be complicated. Until recently (about 20 yrs) scientists didn't even do studies for health using female mice ... too many hormonal fluctuations in females!
A few months back I ran into this great Podcast episode and thought it was made for our community and this important topic.

This Week's Goddess Practice
The Goddess’ Guide to
Hormonal Health
~ with Dr Stephanie Estima
'A woman’s hormonal landscape changes dramatically throughout her life. Because of this unique biology, understanding her menstrual cycle and its rhythm can be incredibly useful for optimizing productivity, weight, sex drive, energy, and mood.'
Listen to this Podcast episode of the Broken Brain with host Dhru Purohit, he and Dr. Estima talk about how women are often divorced from their body, frustrated, and come to the conclusion that their health efforts are not being realized because there is something "wrong with them.”
They discuss how to eat and work out in a way that honors a woman’s natural cycle in her reproductive years. They also talk about how chronic stress affects women differently than men, the importance of listening to your body, and why loving yourself is one of the most radical things you can do.

How I Came to Terms
with Body Hair
(and decided to ditch Nair)
~ Katie Wheeler
To continue our recent theme on body hair Goddess Guide Ellen shared this fun piece with us today:
"My 9-year-old niece recently proudly showed me the one hair she had grown in her armpit: She sees me as an adult woman who has agency over her body, so she does too. As a kid growing up in the ’90s, I didn’t have anyone like that. In this comic I explore the various things we put ourselves through (Nair, at-home waxing, bleaching etc.) and how I’ve come to terms with (some of) my hair."
