Be Gone Holiday Stress!

We hope the long Thanksgiving weekend was full of friends, family and good food!

Now that we are deep in the holiday season, many of us are feeling stressed. YES, holiday stress is a thing!

From the Mayo Clinic… Meditation: A simple, fast way to reduce stress.

We have talked about meditation before and in a recent email we even mentioned that meditating for only 9 minutes is sufficient to reap the benefits of this practice. Truly a simple way to ease the impact the holidays can have on our mood and our health!

Meditation doesn't have to look a particular way. It is a type of mind-body complementary medicine that can produce a deep state of relaxation and a peaceful mind.

AnyONE can do it anyTIME. It's simple, inexpensive and doesn't require any equipment at all. AND you can practice meditation anyWHERE, on a walk, waiting in a line somewhere or even in the middle of a difficult situation.

During meditation, we focus our attention and eliminate the never-ending stream of jumbled thoughts that crowd our mind and cause stress. The process of meditating gives us a sense of calm, peace and balance that benefits both our emotional well-being and our overall health.

Plus… good news, the benefits of meditation don’t end when the meditation ends. It can help us continue to carry that calmness and peace throughout the day. Not to mention, the lasting effects on our body and mind of having less stress overall.

This Week's Practice

You guessed it...

A Meditation

We invite you… if you don’t already have a meditation practice or even if you do… to Meditate DAILY this entire week. (Remember, only 9 minutes does the trick.)

To get you started, here is a favorite, Lettecia’s Inner Smile Meditation. Use this one every day OR find a new one OR just sit in silence the other days. We would LOVE to hear how this was for you and what difference it makes in feeling at peace.
