In our Goddess Inquirer last week, we talked about movement and the benefits for not only the health and mobility of our bodies, but our mind and mood as well.
We thought we would go into a bit more in depth here and weave this into our ongoing conversation on the subject of sex.
The experience of pleasure in general, the smell of a flower, the feel of a warm breeze, the sound of the ocean, the beauty of a sunset are all things we experience in our bodies. As is sexual pleasure.
When we tune into our bodies, not only can we experience deeper pleasure, but we can elevate our intuition and in so doing, trust ourselves more. The intuitive ‘feelings’ we get in our gut or our heart can be extremely important in keeping us safe or expanding our ability to connect with the people in our lives.
So, bottom line, getting into, and in touch with, our bodies is a life enhancing endeavor for our sexual health and health in general.
The trick is… how do we drop out of our minds and into our body when it seems like most everything in life is conspiring to keep us thinking. Our mind takes over thinking up worst case scenarios, rehearsing conversations to have later and analyzing if we are on the right path, happy, or fulfilled.
It may sound too simplistic, and it is simple, if not easy… but the way to get into our body is to take a minute (or several) and get into our body!
To that end, we asked Goddess Gal, Leisa LaDell, from our community, to make a video that will guide us into our bodies through movement.
This Week's Practice
Get Into Your Body!
Watch (and follow along with) the video Leisa made for our community that will take you through a body movement session. This Soul Motion Dance guidance, which is a little over 20 minutes long, is a gentle and simple movement you can practice at any physical level.
The point is not to do anything perfectly or even learn specific steps, the point is to move your body and get into and in tune with this major aspect of us humans, the physical body we inhabit.
Thank you Leisa for this easy and fun way to move and get into and stay connected to our bodies and experience the pleasure and messages it has in store for us.
