At the Members Community meeting on Saturday, Lettecia led us in a very rich conversation about the 5th Chakra. The sharing was deep and authentic, a truly sacred time together.
The 5th Chakra, aka, the Throat Chakra (the Sanskrit name for this Chakra translates to “especially pure”), is the first Chakra directly accessing our expression as humans. It gives a voice for the body, heart, mind and spirit.
It’s about meaning what we say, saying what we mean - not only with words, but with our whole body and our whole lives.
One of the questions Lettecia asked was… What is our life an expression of? What is it saying? Is it aligned with our own truth? Very interesting questions. Looking at not only what is said, but what you express in every other way was definitely food for thought. Many of us saw that our lives represented our own truth in some ways and in other ways, was not an expression of it at all. Ahhhh… maybe a bit of healing to do.

Characteristics of a balanced Throat Chakra

This week's Practice
Say What We Mean
Become aware of the balance of your Throat Chakra by writing down the answers to the questions below. Then pick two or more things from the lists of affirmations and physical activities and start to bring this very important energy center into harmony.
- To me, healthy communication looks like…
- How can I be a more present and active listener?
- How do I express myself?
- Is there anything holding me back from expressing myself? What is it?
- Do I use my words to empower myself and others?
- Do my thoughts, actions and words align?
- How can I practice aligning my thoughts and feelings with how I express myself.
- How would speaking my truth and expressing my truth make me feel?
Here are 2 lists of things you can do to heal and align your Throat / 5th Chakra.
