The Gift of Chakras

This weekend we launched our new inquiry subject. Given all that is happening (and has happened the last 2 years), we thought it was a good time to dip into some inquiry and practices related to our emotional wellness.

With so much happening in the world that is scary and impactful in both big and small ways, we are all being significantly impacted by strong and often conflicting emotions.

We see the devastation happening in Ukraine, the total silencing and trapped experience of our Russian friends and countless other local and global issues. When we see and hear these things, even on the periphery, we feel the agitation, upset, dislocation and most of all uncertainty and helplessness.

This prompted Goddess Living content maven, Lettecia, to offer a series on the 7 Chakras.

The Chakras are an ancient Indian approach to balance and wellness. They refer to a holistic energy system in the human body that correlates to physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual elements of our being.

We dedicated last week's Goddess Talks to a general introduction of the Chakra system followed by focusing on the Root Chakra in Saturday's Members Monthly Session.

This is an especially important place to start, given everything happening in the world. Bringing awareness to, and working with, our Root Chakra, we can create a stronger sense of stability and power. We literally “ground” ourselves, and start to experience the stability of being “rooted.”

This week's email features all of the pieces and tools of the inquiry we began. Use the simple practice below to open yourself up to these ideas and the support they can provide during these wildly uncertain times.

Here are the recording links of the Monthly Members Meeting if you would like to hear the full inquiry.

This Week's Practice

Add Some Root Power

Using this chart, Lettecia had us choose one thing from the “what you can do'' list to take on. Some of these are big areas, such as health or finances. Choose the area you want to take on and then schedule just one thing related to this.

For example, if health is your area, make that appointment for the mammogram, doctor or health practitioner you have been meaning to do. Or maybe your area is finances, sit down and organize those bills, or get your tax stuff together.

These activities are concrete and impact the function of living life. They are often boring or even mundane, HOWEVER, they create the very foundations of living. When we take action in these ways we are nurturing the Root of our life force.
